The 10ft design is tied with a heavy butt section for wind penetration and turnover, a class tippet for rod and fish protection, and a fluorocarbon bite tippet for abrasion resistance. Available in 20 and 30lb class tippets, with 60, and 80lb fluorocarbon bite tippet. RIO’s leaders are tied with advanced 100% strength knots and they’re the perfect choice for all tarpon destinations.

A hand tied 6 ft (1.8 m), leader of ultra hard, tough saltwater nylon, tapering from a twisted double strand of lb. butt material and finishing with a 4 inch section of shock tippet.

A Bimini knot in the end of the lb class tippet ensures the ultimate in protection, and a perfection loop in the twisted butt end makes it very easy to rig and attach to the fly line or your butt section.

Available in a 3-pack, with pre-straightened shock tippets. Hard nylon Shock Tippet; 60 lb ( 27.3 kg) 80 lb ( 6.4 kg).
