Turrall Marabou Turkey
Our Marabou is taken from 100mm (4") length turkey bloods. These feathers are softer and more flexible than Marabou quills, allowing the tyer to maximise the use of the material. Can be wound as a hackle, but usually sections of the feather are used for tails, wings or throats.

Fibres from the cock pheasant tail are used to form bodies, tails, throats and wingcases. Golden pheasant has smaller feathers with a more pronounced barred effect. Hen pheasant is used to form the wing of several Wet flies such as Invicta. Mottled turkey can be used to form the wings of Muddlers and can be incorporated into the wings of Classic Salmon flies.
