The SDS Tactical Salmon Lines are a range of double hand flylines designed specifically for fishing environments where presentational techniques are pivotal to success. The Tactical Salmon’s taper dimensions are optimised for both overhead and modern speycasting techniques and feature an integrated head and running line configuration. This allows for seamless fly retrieval through the stream when presenting flies at a range of fishing depths.

Loop Synchro Dynamic System

Loop's New Synchro Dynamic System (SDS) is quickly set up on the riverside by a simple loop-to-loop connection process. Their new welded loops are the strongest we have tested during the extensive development process and connect the system together in an ultra-slim loop-to-loop profile. This allows for unbroken transfer of power from the belly through the attachable tip to enhance fly presentation. For ease of identification, each head and interchangeable tip are laser-marked with their designated line classification to insure the correct line to rod balance is achieved.

Multi-Tip Scandinavian Spey System - Floating

Snowbee have changed the pack quantities of their multi-tip lines, to cover all the options required by the
progressive salmon angler, with greater exibility.

A ‘short head’ profile with a Multi-Tip system. These lines are each 120ft long including the 17ft (5.3m) interchangeable floating tip. The 43ft overall head length, with tip, is considerably shorter than a conventional Spey and with the range of sinking tips available, this line system provides the maximum diversity in all water conditions, including sunk line fishing for fish holding deep, typically only achievable with the short head Skagit and switch lines. Available in floating density heads, with a 5.3m floating ‘tip’, both fitted with welded loops for quick & easy exchange. Add the optional further Multi-Tips listed separately, as required.

Skagit MOW Tips

These tips allow anglers using Skagit lines to cover every likely fishing situation and conditions encountered, and are the absolute ultimate in sinking tip versatility. All MOW tips are built on RIO’s ConnectCore for Ultra-low stretch performance.

RIO Light MOW Tips feature T-8, with a sink rate of 7" per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a white floating section or a white sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Light MOW Tips are designed for lightly weighted flies and are ideal for Skagit lines of 475 grains and less. There are six unique tips that make up the series.

RIO Medium MOW Tips feature T-11, with a sink rate of 8” per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a light green floating section or a green sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Medium MOW Tips are designed for heavily weighted flies and are ideal for Skagit lines between 475 and 575 grains.

RIO Heavy MOW Tips feature T-14, with a sink rate of 9” per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a light blue floating section or a blue sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Heavy MOW Tips are designed for the heaviest of flies and are ideal for Skagit lines of 575 grains and more.

RIO Extra Heavy MOW Tips feature T-17, with a sink rate of 10” per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a grey floating section or a grey sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Extra Heavy MOW Tips are designed for the heaviest of flies and are ideal for Skagit lines of 675 grains and more. There are six tips that make up each series.

RIO Intouch Long Mow Tips are powerful tips designed to cast large flies. Each tip is 15ft in length, with varying lengths of floating/sinking sections. These Long MOW Tips are perfect for Spey rods of 13ft and bigger, and for casters that find regular MOW tips too short and continuously blow their anchor. All Long MOW tips are built on RIO’s ConnectCore for ultra-low stretch performance.
