The Gen X Concept is the result of more than 3 years intense research into the perfect design for the taper and shape of a pole. This new design offers a range of poles that make fishing past 16m a reality, with the precise balance between stiffness, weight and low diameter. Gen X poles result in lighter, stiffer poles than those offered by the competition, giving Shimano designers room to strengthen number 4 and 5 sections to way above normal requirements - something that has proven to be a problem for our competitors.
