Japanese reel maker Ryobi returns with this tough, great value saltwater spin reel designed to handle jigging, popper casting and bait fishing. The Safari 5000 Metaroyal is quality engineered and balanced, featuring a strong all-metal body, seven aircraft-quality ball bearings, round power-knob handle, Multi-Max anti-reverse for solid hook-ups and G-Stopper for positive bail arm operation.

The Safari has great power-winding capability and a smooth drag that can be cranked up to 12kg of stopping power. The unique watertight FS drag system allows the spool to be changed with the drag remaining at its pre-set level. The line capacity is 320m of 8kg monofilament, but many anglers will spool this reel with heavy braid, which it handles with ease.

The heavy-duty gears mean you can cast and retrieve high-speed lures like poppers. All types of sportfish Regardless of species, Ryobi’s Safari is up to the task.
